EMPLOYMENT SKILLS TRAINING

Residents receive assistance in job exploration and training for job readiness. Guest speakers from the community make presentations on issues such as sexual harassment in the workplace, interviewing skills, and managing the move from public assistance to employment.

The agency supports and encourages those residents who are seeking to obtain their high school diploma or GED, vocational training, or a college degree. Such support takes the form of donated computers, supplies, necessary clothing or uniforms, and other ongoing needs, along with financial assistance for application fees.
